Marinette County allows Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV's) to use all designated all-terrain vehicle trails and routes in Marinette County.
Marinette County has over 300 miles of ATV/UTV trails for you to explore. The majority of this trail system is open year round except when they are closed for approximately the month of April due to soft & wet trail conditions during the spring break-up.
An Important Reminder:
ATV riders on the Iron Snowshoe ATV trails in the Butler Rock area of Marinette County which connect into the Oconto County summer only ATV trail system at the county lines- need to be aware that Oconto County's ATV trails won't open until May 1st and closes Oct. 31st each year.

Marinette County has over 600 miles of snowmobile trails for you to explore. The trails are scenic, wide, well-groomed, and clearly marked. The trail system opens [ski 1] anytime after Dec. 15th each year depending on the snow conditions.
While you may never travel ALL of Wisconsin's 25,000 miles of scenic, interconnected snowmobile trails, you may be tempted to try! In Marinette County, we have hundreds of miles of trails of our own, all tied into the statewide system. Many of them will take you right to the doorstep of your resort or lodging accommodations.
Snowmobiling gets more popular every year in our area, as visitors discover this area's vast interconnected network of well-cared-for trails.
Marinette County is blessed with a whole army of volunteers organized in clubs which maintain hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails everywhere in the county. There are 7 distinct trail systems these clubs work to provide...and thanks to them...we can ALL enjoy the ride!

Kick back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods from the seat of a recreational kayak. The Wildman Adventure Resort kayak tour takes you to the serene High Falls flowage, where adventure and beauty come together. The High Falls flowage is surrounded by almost 10,000 acres of wild lands that are open to the public and are yours to explore. The vast wilderness creates a feeling of being in a remote Canadian lake, but you will never be far from home. The cool tannin stained water, granite outcroppings and islands, big fish, and forested shores are like being north of the border. The wild shores of the 1,600 acre High Falls Flowage are part of the Peshtigo River, the same river that passes by the Wildman Adventure Resort.
During your 2-3 hour adventure, be prepared for spectacular wildlife sightings including encounters with bald eagles, great blue heron, loon, a variety of ducks, sand hill cranes, turkey vultures, whitetail deer, black bear, coyotes, fox, wolves, and river otters just to name a few. Your trip will take you on a paddling voyage where you will be exploring the open water, the shorelines, and even wild islands. We try to end all of our trips on a high note, even our more laid back trips. Those that live life on the edge might choose the optional end of trip cliff jump!

Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. It evolved out of ocean wave surfing but adding a paddle helps to increase mobility and balance while allowing you to explore anything from lakes to rivers to oceans. The unique vantage point allows you to see more of the horizon as well as what’s below you in the water. You will be surprised by how easy it is to maneuver and how quickly you pick up this new skill.
