From the shores of Green Bay to exceptional inland waters, Marinette County has something for every outdoor enthusiast! 12,370 acres of lakes, 623 miles of trout streams, the Menominee, Peshtigo, and Pike Rivers, and the flowages of the Crivitz area beckon you to enjoy a variety of experiences.

Our self-guided Waterfalls Tour provides a fun, family activity to get back to nature. A perfect way to enjoy an old-fashioned family picnic along side one of 14 waterfalls. Or perhaps you enjoy a more adventurous activity such as ATV, snowmobiling or riding our many trails on horseback? Slower pace your way? Then consider hiking, biking or even a canoe or kayaking trip on some of the waterways. Keep in mind that we have some of the best white water rapids rafting in the Midwest! Hunting or fishing enthusiast? Be sure to check out our public lands for hunting or sneak a peek at one of our many miles of trout streams for some great fishing! Maybe a visit to Governor Thompson State Park, Peshtigo River State Forest or one of eleven county parks is in your future.
