Birth through Age 5 Developmental Screening Dates - 2020 School Year

Menominee County Intermediate School District will be conducting Early Childhood Developmental Screenings for Michigan children from birth through age 5 (if not attending school) on the following Fridays:

May 1, 2020
June 5, 2020

Screenings are held from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Menominee County Intermediate School District located at 1201 – 41st Avenue in Menominee. Arrangements can be made for children located in the Carney-Nadeau and North Central school districts. Appointments are required. Please call Menominee County ISD at 863-5665 to schedule a screening appointment.

The screening test measures the child’s abilities based on developmental milestones in five domains: Personal-Social, Adaptive, Motor, Communication and Cognitive. The procedures involve a structured test format, an interview with parents or caregivers and observation of the child. Discussion of test results and recommendations for further testing or other program options complete the process.

Screening information for older individuals, ages six through twenty-six, may be obtained from your child’s building principal or by contacting the Menominee County ISD Director of Special Education at 863-5665 Extension 1012.
